I find Alaska as one of the greatest outdoor hub in North America. Thousands of people flock to this grand American vacation destination. Whenever you head to "The Great Land", clothing and the climate are two of the primary things to consider. You'd usually come to Alaska layered unless you choose those bones to freeze. During the summer Alaska's temperature ranges between 60°F-80°F. And of course expect colder temperatures in the early morning and the evening. Cooler temperatures are on the late August and September and slightly fewer hours of sunlight, as fall arrives early at these latitudes.
Alaska is too far for me but no regrets. Alaska has lower prices than any other places in the United States. If you are traveling through an RV it would be the best way to see Alaska. ( Motorhome - RV Hire USA is a wiser way to explore places in the United States) However if you are staying on private accommodations it would likely cost you $120 during the peak season. An average visitor in Alaska would spend roughly about $135 a day per person that include lodging, meals, and some activities. However, it depends on how practical or stylish you are.
If you have a minimum time spare to stay in Alaska you better plan where to go, or what to explore. One if its famous places is The Denali National Park, home to the tallest mountain in North America with an impressive array of wildlife. The Glacier Bay where you can explore tidewater glaciers and kayak through valleys and fjords carved by retreating glaciers. Kenai Fjords National Park is perfect for wildlife encounters, kayaking or picnicking near a glacier. If you are looking forward for a wide stretch of picnic park it must be Alaska's state parks that has over 100 state parks and recreation areas perfect for camping, fishing, and a picnic. It's like having an endless backyard. I always love picnics and camping plus fishing I always remember how my dad patiently taught me how when I was 7.
